Configure your WebRTC (softphone) audio settings (Edify App)

Edify App > Profile and Call Settings > Configure your WebRTC (softphone) audio settings (Edify App)

This article explains several ways of configuring your WebRTC (softphone) settings in Edify App.

In this article

Enable and disable WebRTC

1. Log into Edify App at app.edify.cx.

2. Open the Settings menu.

3. Select Edit Profile.

4. Click the Call Settings tab.

5. Navigate to the WebRTC Audio container.

6. Click the Enable WebRTC toggle.

7. Notice that the toggle changes color; the setting is enabled when green and disabled when red. To change the setting, click the toggle again.

8. Click the Save button.

Enable and disable Desktop / Web / CTI App

1. Log into Edify App at app.edify.cx.

2. Open the Settings menu.

3. Select Edit Profile.

4. Click the Call Settings tab.

5. Navigate to the WebRTC Audio container.

6. Click the Enable Desktop / Web / CTI toggle.

7. Notice that the toggle changes color; the setting is enabled when green and disabled when red. To change the setting, click the toggle again.

8. Click the Save button.

Configure WebRTC audio settings

Configure the input and output audio device settings for your softphone. If you have an audio device paired (i.e. headset, headphones, earbuds, etc.), this becomes your default audio input/output device. If the device becomes disconnected, the system automatically adjusts the WebRTC audio settings.

1. Log into Edify App at app.edify.cx.

2. Open the Settings menu.

3. Select Edit Profile.

4. Click the Call Settings tab.

5. Navigate to the WebRTC Audio container.

6. Open the WebRTC Audio Input menu.

7. Select the option that meets your needs.

8. Open the WebRTC Audio Output menu.

9. Select the option that meets your needs.

10. Click Save.

Configure WebRTC ringtone settings

Define the ring tone volume and audio device for hearing inbound calls to the softphone.

1. Log into Edify App at app.edify.cx.

2. Open the Settings menu.

3. Select Edit Profile.

4. Click the Call Settings tab.

5. Navigate to the WebRTC Audio container.

6. Open the WebRTC Ring Tone menu.

7. Select the option that meets your needs.

8. Click and drag the WebRTC RingTone Volume slider to the desired volume level.

9. Click the Save button.
