Create a line chart (Edify App)
This article explains how to create a line chart in Edify App.

Steps
1. Log into Edify App at app.edify.cx.
2. Navigate to Analytics.
3. Select the report you’d like to create the pie chart for. For the purposes of this guide, we’re using the report: Interactions by month.
4. Click the vertical tri-dot icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, click Edit.
5. Click the Charts tab in the left sidebar. Then, click plus to create a new chart.
6. On the New Chart modal...
Provide a name for the chart
Select Line Chart as the chart type
Click Save.
6. In the left sidebar, locate the Label field.
In this example, we’re creating a chart to show the number of interactions per month as a line chart.
For the label field, we’re choosing Created At (month).
This will display along the x axis (the bottom of the chart) to show the progression of the line.
7. In the left sidebar, locate the Value field.
In this example, we’re choosing the Interaction Id (count) field.
This will show us the rise and fall of interaction counts through the months.
8. Click the tool icon in the top-right corner of the screen to preview the report.
9. Click the Save button to save your changes.
Multiple lines (Group By Column)
You can also create a line chart with multiple lines with the Group By Column toggle. Follow the steps below to add multiple lines to your line chart.
1. With the chart editor open, select the Group By Column toggle.
A dropdown selector will appear called Group Column.
Select the column you’d like to be your group column.
A Group Column is a column that can be used to further categorize data. For example, in the steps above we created a line chart that showed the number of interactions for each month. You can use the Group By Column toggle to break down that data further. Group Columns are most effective when used to delineate types of data (like communication types in interactions).
2. Select your X axis and Y axis similarly as configured in the steps above (see steps 6 and 7).
3. Click the tool icon in the top-right corner of the screen to preview the report.
4. Click the Save icon to save the chart.
The result is a chart with two (or more) lines for each type of data present in the report. In the example above, all of the interactions in the months covered were either messaging or phone interactions. So, the line charts show the number of those types of interactions as time goes on.
