Modify a direct message in Chat

This article explains how to modify a direct message in Chat in Edify App. 

Users have the ability to add or remove users from a direct message once the chat has been created. When adding or removing users from a direct message channel, the system keeps the original chat as is and creates a new direct message channel with the new group of users.

Steps

1. Select the direct message to modify.

2. Click the channel settings button.

3. Click into the Members field.

4. To add members:

1. Type the user's name to filter results or scroll through the user drop down menu.

2. Select the user to add to the direct message.

3. Notice the affed user populates in the Members field.

5. To remove members:

1. Click the X to the right of the user to be removed from the message.

2. Notice the user's name disappears from Members field.

6. Click Create.

7. Notice a new direct message channel has been created with the new list of users.
