Overview
On the Avaya.cx mobile app for Android, you can place an outbound call with the softphone, located in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
Before you can make outbound calls from the softphone, you need to configure your user profile settings to include a mobile phone number. Once you add a mobile phone number, you’ll be able to make outbound calls from the softphone on the mobile app on Android.
This is how making an outbound call works:
You dial the phone number you want to call to start the process.
After clicking the Call button, the system calls your mobile number from your Avaya.cx DID number.
Once you accept the call from your DID, you’re ready for Avaya to dial the other party to complete the calling process; so, Avaya automatically starts calling the phone number you dialed. The called party will see an incoming call from your work DID.
Note: If you want to send inbound calls directly to your mobile device, you need to update your inbound call routes in your call settings.
See the section below for step-by-step instructions on how to create an outbound call from the Avaya.cx mobile app.
