Set voice authorization method in Call Settings (App)

This article explains how to set your voice authorization method in App. Your voice authorization settings control how you access your voicemail and other areas of your account that require voice authentication.
Step 1: Choose voice authorization method
Choose one of the two methods listed below:
Pin: Enter a pin number to gain access to the system. The pin number should be at least 3 digits long and include only numbers.Â
MFA: Receive an SMS text message with an MFA token then enter the token to gain access to the system. This token does expire, so you have to use a different token each time you need to access that area of the system.
Step 2: Set up MFA or PIN for voice authorization
This article includes the steps for setting up either voice authorization process: Pin or MFA. Select the process that works for you based on your unique security needs.
MFA
1. Log into App at app.avaya.cx.
2. Open the Settings menu (gear icon in top-right corner of App).
3. Click Edit Profile.
4. Click the Call Settings tab.
5. Navigate to the Voice Auth Method field in the Voice container.
6. Select MFA.
7. Click Save.
8. Click the Profile tab.
9. Enter the phone number you want to receive the SMS text message with the MFA access code into the Mobile field in the Basic container.
PIN
1. Log into App at app.avaya.cx.
2. Open the Settings menu (gear icon in top-right corner of App).
3. Click Edit Profile.
4. Click the Call Settings tab.
5. Navigate to the Voice Auth Method field in the Voice container.
6. Select PIN.
7. Type a number into the PIN field.
