Create a new user (Console)
This article explains how to create a new user in Console.
Steps
1. Log into Console at console.avaya.cx.
2. Navigate to Account > Users.
3. Click the New User button in the top-right corner of the screen.
4. Fill out the following fields in the Create User modal:
Template
License Type
First Name
Last Name
Email
Extension
Create Another
5. Click Save to create the user or click the x button to cancel.
An email will be sent to the user’s email address with a temporary password to log in to App. Ensure that the necessary permissions are enabled in the User Permissions container. Otherwise, the user may have insufficient permissions to log into App or Console.
Tip: Use the Add All toggle in the User Permissions container, then disable permissions you don't want the user to have.
Create User breakdown
Template
A template lets you configure settings for all the containers in Users for a specific type of user. You can apply this template when creating a new user, so you don’t have to manually configure each setting in Users.
If there are already user templates on your account, you can select one to apply to the creation of the new user. If none are listed, there are none available.
License Type
Select a license type for the user based on what functionality you want them to have. Se our website for details.
First Name
This field is where you enter the new user’s first name. The first name is displayed to coworkers and customers if the user manages interactions in a queue. This field can be modified in Users in Console and by the user in App.
Last Name
This field is where you enter the new user’s last name. The last name is displayed to coworkers in UC chat and in the softphone directory. This field can be modified in Users in Console and by the user in App.
Email
This field is where you enter the new user’s business email address. This email address is viewable only to internal coworkers through profile details in chat. This field can be modified by an admin in Console.
Extension
This field is where you enter the new user’s extension number. This is the number used to contact this user directly. Choose a unique extension that is not already in use.
Create Another
The Create Another checkbox allows you to quickly add additional users by opening a new Create User immediately after clicking Save. If you leave this box unchecked, you will be directed to the User’s list view workspace immediately after clicking Save.
