Create a custom drop-down menu (Console)
This article explains how to create a custom input paragraph field for collecting additional information during an active interaction.
You can create custom input fields through the Objects workspace in Console.
Note that, once you’ve created a custom input field, the next step is to make it available to interactions in a queue. To do that, you’ll need to modify the custom fields container of the queue you want to use the custom input field with.
Steps
1. Log into Console at console.avaya.cx.
2. Navigate to Objects.
3. In the Objects list view, click Interactions.
4. Click the + Field button in the top-right corner of the screen.
5. Fill out the custom field form:
Display Name: The human-readable name for the field.
Name: The back-end name for the field used by the Avaya.cx system.
Data Type: array.field
Input Type: select
Default Value (Optional): Any default selection you want the field to hold. Leave blank for none.
Value / Display Name: Put the back-end value and the display name for each option you want to appear in the drop down menu.
6. Click the Create Field button in the bottom-right corner of the Create Field container.
