Open an SMS sent to your DID in Chat

This article explains how to open an SMS sent to your DID in Chat in Edify App.

Users have the ability to receive an SMS to their Direct Messages section of chat under the condition that the user has a DID provisioned by their Admin to their user within Console. 

These inbound SMS messages populate in the same way as a new direct message from a peer would except the name of the message within the Direct Messages list displays the phone number of the sender. 

Steps

1. Navigate to the Direct Messages list.

2. Notice the new direct message marked with a notification badge and labeled as a phone number.

3. Open the message by clicking the new phone number channel.

4. Proceed with messaging.
