This article explains how to prepare Google Chrome to manage calls in Edify App.

Overview

You must enable the microphone and sound settings in Google Chrome to successfully use the Softphone in Edify App. Once you have enabled these settings in Google Chrome, you can test your microphone and speaker functionality through Edify to ensure it is working properly.

Once you complete this process, you don’t need to configure these settings again.

Enable microphone in Google Chrome

1. Log into Edify App in Google Chrome.

2. Click the padlock icon to the left of the URL.

3. Click the toggle next to Microphone.

4. Click the padlock icon to close the menu.

5. Click Reload to apply the updated settings to Edify.

Enable sound in Google Chrome

1. Log into Edify App in Google Chrome.

2. Click the padlock icon to the left of the URL.

3. Click the toggle next to Sound.

4. Click the padlock icon to close the menu.

5. Click Reload to apply the updated settings to Edify.

Test audio for your softphone

1. Log into Edify App in Google Chrome.

2. Click the phone icon to open the softphone.

3. Dial '91' and click the small phone icon to call.

4. Verbally respond to the prompts.

5. Listen for your responses to be replayed.
