Fax number routing is the process of telling the system what to do when someone sends a fax to a fax number. The system can route incoming faxes to various destinations, including:
Queue (send the call to a queue)
Email (send the fax to an email address configured to your account)
Fax ATA (send the fax to a fax ATA that’s configured to your account)
For example, if you want customers faxes to be received by your billing team and they manage a queue, then you could set the Route To field to “Queue” and the Route Data field to the specific queue for your billing team, like ‘Billing 1 Q’.
