Overview: Channel settings in Chat (Edify App)
This article gives an overview of the channel settings modal in Chat.
Overview
The channel settings modal feature in Chat, allows users to do any of the following and more:
Review and update channel details, like rename the channel, see who created it, etc.
Add/remove members
Update and share conference settings
Modify and enable AI settings related to the channel
Click on the channels settings button to open the channel settings modal, and then click on the tab to access the settings that you want to review or change.
Click the channel settings button to open the settings for the channel you're viewing.
Channel settings modal
Once the modal is open, the channel settings modal these are some of the important areas that you’ll see:
About tab: This tab is where you can change the title of the channel and more easily access other important channel information, like the Channel ID and who created the channel.
Members tab: This tab is where you can more easily add and remove channel members and see channel member statuses.
Conference Settings tab: This tab is where you can more easily set and view conference information for the channel. Also, this is where you can copy conference details to share them out and join a sync meeting from channel settings.
AI Settings tab: This tab is where you can more easily set and view channel configurations related to the AI Summary feature.
The channel settings header is where you can quickly favorite the channel and update your notification preferences.
Al Notifications - Receive notifications and unread counts when anyone posts in a chat or direct message.
Mentions Only - Only receive notifications and unread counts when you or the entire channel is mentioned. Read Mentions in Chat to learn more.
