Provision a fax ATA in Numbers (Edify Console)

This article explains how to provision a fax ATA (analog telephone adapter) in Numbers.

Purpose

Provisioning a fax ATA allows you to fax using a VoIP connection rather than using a traditional telephone line. 

This lets you:

• Send and receive faxes like emails

• Open faxes in Edify

• Fax .pdf, .docx, or .tiff files straight from your computer

Steps

Purchase an ATA

1. Visit the Edify store at store.edify.cx.

2. Search for "ATA" to find recommended ATAs to use.

3. Once you find an ATA that works for you, click Add to Cart and then Check Out.

Provision the ATA

1. Once you have the ATA, email lnp@edify.cx to request a number for the ATA. Include the following:

• The MAC address for the ATA

• City, State, and preferred area code

• Whether you need a local or toll-free number

Connect the ATA to your fax machine

1. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to connect the ATA to your fax machine.

2. Start sending and receiving faxes!
