Create or modify recording for voicemail greeting (App)
This article explains how to create or modify a voicemail greeting recording in App.
Overview
Your voicemail greeting is what a caller hears when they reach your voicemail. There are two types of voicemail greetings that you can set up: text-to-speech or play.
Text-to-speech: This option lets you input text to be vocalized by a bot using text-to-speech technology (TTS).
Play: This option lets you record a personal voicemail greeting to be played for the caller.
Steps
Note: You must set up your voice authentication settings before you can record a voicemail greeting.
Log into App at app.avaya.cx.
2. Click the phone icon to open the Softphone.
3. Dial ‘*97’ and click the small phone icon to call.
4. Enter your access code (pin or MFA token) after the prompt (this is based on your voice authentication settings).
5. Press '1' on the keyboard.
6. Do one of the following:
Press ‘1’ to hear your current voicemail greeting.
After listening to your current voicemail greeting press ‘2’ to re-record.
Press ‘2’ to record a new greeting.
7. Say your greeting after you hear the tone.
8. Wait for the end recording prompt.
This will start a few seconds after you’ve stopped speaking.
9. Listen to your new greeting.
10. Next, choose one of the following options:
Press ‘1’ to use the recording.
Press ‘2’ to re-record the greeting.
11. Once you have confirmed your voicemail greeting by pressing ‘1’ you will get the following confirmation message, “Success. Your new greeting is now in use. Goodbye.”
